The PADI Rescue Diver program develops your knowledge and skills so you can effectively perform diver assists and rescues, manager diving accident situations and render first aid.  The program is an important step in expanding your knowledge and experience as a diver.  

To attend the PADI Rescue Diver you must be certified to Advanced Open Water diver and must be at least 15 years old. 

The PADI Junior Rescue Diver course is available if you are between the ages of 12 and 14 and hold a PADI Junior Advanced Open Water Diver certification.

You must also have completed a sanctioned CPR training course within the past 24 months.  The PADI Emergency First Responder (EFR) course will cover you for CPR training (Special offer price of £50 if booked with Rescue course).

The PADI Rescue Diver program includes:

  • Self-rescue and diver stress
  • diving first aid
  • emergency management and equipment considerations
  • swimming and non-swimming assists
  • panicked diver response
  • underwater problems
  • missing dive procedures
  • surfacing the unconscious dive
  • in-water artificial respiration
  • egress (exits)
  • first aid procedures for pressure related accidents
  • dive accident scenarios
